We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic barista to join our small team at Fika East.
Fika is more than just a coffee shop – we’re a welcoming space centred around great coffee, beautiful plants and slowing down. We love creating a relaxed atmosphere where customers feel at home, and we’re looking for someone who shares that passion.
We’re looking for someone who:
- 18+
- Previous barista experience preferred.
- Has a warm, friendly personality and enjoys chatting with customers.
- Can stay calm and organised during busy periods. Confident working alone.
- Takes pride in making consistently great coffee (barista experience is preferred but not essential if you’re eager to learn).
- Is reliable, hardworking and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
- Has excellent attention to cleanliness and presentation.
- Is happy to get involved with all aspects of the café, from serving customers to cleaning and restocking.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing high-quality coffees and drinks.
- Serving customers with a genuine smile.
- Keeping the café clean, tidy and welcoming.
- Preparing simple food items.
- Helping maintain our relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
- Supporting the team wherever needed.
Hours:
Part-time, including weekends. Flexibility is appreciated. More hours available during busy periods.
