Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Self Employed Clinical Supervisor to oversee and support trauma-focused practitioners within our organisation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality client-led services by providing expert supervision, guidance, and professional development. As a self-employed professional, you will play a vital part in maintaining clinical standards and enhancing service delivery across our community programs.
Purpose of the role
To work in conjunction with our internal Clinical Supervisors who provide case supervision to provide trauma-informed reflection and processing supervision to all Team Members, including:
- Counsellors
- Lived Experience Faciliatators (peer support workers)
- Operational and Admin team members
Duties
- Attend Trauma Recovery CIC head office in Welwyn Garden City on the 2nd (45 minute sessions from 9.30am-1.30/2.30pm) and 3rd Tuesdays (45 minute sessions from 9.30am-2.30pm) of the month to provide 121 reflection and processing supervision to Truama Recovery CIC team members
- Ensure adherence to best practices, organisational policies and working agreement with Trauma Recovery CIC
- Maintain detailed records of supervision sessions in compliance with organisational and legal requirements
- Collaborate with organisational leadership to monitor service quality and implement continuous improvement strategies
Requirements
Essential:
- A minimum level 6 Clinical Supervision qualification where the course is approved by the NCPS or BACP
- A minimum 4 years post level 4 qualifying Counselling experience
- A minimum 1 year experience of providing Clinical Supervision
- Proven experience in trauma-focused therapy and trauma-informed therapy
- Demonstrable knowledge of the importance of reflection and processing supervision and the benefits of working collaboratively with internal case supervisor
- Strong understanding of clinical supervision principles and ethical guidelines
- Ability to work independently as a self-employed professional while maintaining effective communication with the organisation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to support practitioners’ professional development
- Commitment to trauma-informed principles and client-led approaches
Desirable:
- Personal lived experience of sexual, domestic and/or relational trauma
- Experience of providing external clinical supervision on a self-employed basis to a non-profit organisation
- Experience of working in conjuction with an internal case supervisor
