Business Support Team Lead
About the Role
Bright and Shade Group is looking for a proactive and organised Business Support Team Lead join our team at our Head Office in Portslade.
This is a varied and hands-on role requiring excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. You will play a key part in coordinating the day-to-day operational activities across the warehouse and wider business, ensuring priorities are managed effectively, resources are utilised efficiently, and operational standards are consistently maintained.
Working closely with the Business Support Manager, you will support the smooth running of warehouse operations for all BSG subsidiaries, coordinating workloads, improving processes and ensuring products are received, stored and distributed safely and efficiently. This is a full-time, site-based position.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders from all areas of the business to ensure business requirements are met
- Working alongside our IT department to deliver sample automation
- Work with the business support manager to ensure that operational requirements across the business are met
- Coordinate the day-to-day operational activities within the warehouse, ensuring workloads are planned and prioritised to meet business requirements.
- Monitor workflow and respond effectively to changing operational demands.
- Establish protocols to ensure full goods in and goods out compliance
- Work alongside the logistics department to ensure smooth delivery of inbound and outbound deliveries to the warehouse
- Support inventory management by maintaining accurate stock records, coordinating stock counts and investigating discrepancies.
- Support fleet logistics
- Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are maintained, creating a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Produce and analyse operational reports, including stock accuracy, warehouse performance and service levels.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity and operational efficiency.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role to support the needs of the business.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an operations, warehouse or logistics coordination role.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience coordinating warehouse operations or logistics activities.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and produce reports.
- Sound understanding of warehouse processes and Health & Safety requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience supporting fleet or transport logistics would be advantageous.

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
