About Padel Up Mansfield
Padel Up Mansfield will be a vibrant, modern padel and wellness club bringing together padel courts, a café, Pilates studio, gym and wellness facilities under one roof.
Our café will be at the heart of the club, a welcoming social hub where members, guests and visitors can grab a coffee, enjoy food, relax between sessions and connect with the wider Padel Up community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused Cafe Supervisor to help lead the day-to-day operation of the café while supporting the Club Manager with the wider running of the club.
The Role
As Cafe Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the smooth, efficient and welcoming operation of the café, ensuring customers receive an excellent experience every time they visit.
You will lead by example on shift, supporting and motivating the café team, maintaining high standards of service and presentation, managing stock and orders, and helping the Club Manager with the wider day-to-day operation of Padel Up Mansfield.
This is a hands-on role in a busy, energetic and sociable environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering great hospitality.
Key ResponsibilitiesCafé Operations
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of the café during shifts.
- Deliver a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to members, guests and visitors.
- Ensure consistently high standards of food, drinks, cleanliness, presentation and customer service.
- Support the team during busy periods and lead by example.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly.
- Manage the café environment to ensure it remains clean, organised and inviting.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally and positively.
- Operate the till and payment systems accurately.
Team Supervision
- Support the Club Manager with the day-to-day management of café employees.
- Assist with staff rotas, shift cover and allocating responsibilities during shifts.
- Train and support new members of the café team.
- Motivate the team and help create a positive, energetic working environment.
- Monitor staff performance and standards, raising any issues with the Club Manager where appropriate.
- Ensure team members follow company procedures, food safety requirements and health & safety standards.
Stock & Suppliers
- Monitor café stock levels and ensure key products are always available.
- Assist with placing and receiving stock orders.
- Check deliveries and ensure stock is stored correctly.
- Monitor wastage and help manage stock efficiently.
- Work with the Club Manager to identify popular products and opportunities to improve the café offering.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers where required.
Supporting the Wider Club
The café is the central hub of Padel Up Mansfield, so this role will extend beyond traditional café responsibilities.
You will:
- Help answer general day-to-day enquiries from members and visitors.
- Assist customers with questions about padel, Pilates, the gym, wellness facilities, memberships and club activities.
- Support the Club Manager with the smooth running of the wider club.
- Help with events, tournaments, social activities and other club occasions.
- Assist with event set-up, hospitality and customer service when required.
- Help create a welcoming and community-focused atmosphere throughout the club.
- Act as a friendly and approachable point of contact for members and visitors.

Experience
Previous experience in a café, hospitality, leisure, retail or customer-facing supervisory role would be advantageous.
Experience of managing or supervising a team is preferred, but attitude, energy and a genuine passion for customer service are equally important.
Food safety, allergen awareness and hospitality experience would be beneficial, with appropriate training provided where required.
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
