We are an expanding steel manufacturing company based in Cannock, continuing to grow through new project wins and ongoing investment in our facilities.
We are looking for a reliable and practical Maintenance Engineer to help keep our production machinery operating safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Work safely and in line with company procedures.
- Liaise with production teams and external contractors when required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Reliable with excellent attendance.
Working Environment
- Active manufacturing facility.
- Manual handling, lifting and climbing required.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Working in varying factory conditions.
