We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Thermal Insulation Engineer to join our HVAC team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing thermal insulation on mechanical services systems (e.g. pipework, ductwork, ) to meet energy efficiency standards and building regulations.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Install thermal insulation on HVAC systems
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Ensure all work meets current UK standards
- Operate tools and equipment safely, adhering to site-specific and HSE safety regulations.
- Complete documentation, including insulation records, material logs, and compliance reports.
- Liaise with other engineers, contractors, and site management teams to coordinate work efficiently.
Show your expertise
- Experience in HVAC or mechanical insulation installation
- Knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations, including PPE and manual handling.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Thermal Insulation
- Gold CSCS Card
- IPAF / PASMA certification (for working at height)
