Job Summary
Marina la Cucina in Porthmadog is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter for the 2026 season to support our team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and providing a high standard of hygiene and safety. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to meet health and safety standards
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently and promptly
- Help with the organisation of stock and ingredients, ensuring items are stored correctly
- Support with waste disposal and recycling procedures to maintain a tidy working environment
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking processes, or culinary practices is advantageous
- Experience working in busy kitchens or catering environments will be beneficial
- Familiarity with serving or hospitality roles can enhance performance in this position
