At Restoraction, we help people recover after fires, floods and other property damage. Our Hard Contents team carefully restores customers’ belongings, from everyday household items to possessions that may have significant personal or sentimental value.
We’re looking for someone who cares about doing a great job, notices the details and takes pride in the finished result.
You don’t need previous fire and flood restoration experience. We’ll provide the specialist training you need. What matters most is your attitude, reliability, care and willingness to learn.

What you'll be doing
Every day is different, and you’ll work with a wide variety of belongings and materials.
Your role will include:
- Cleaning and restoring contents affected by smoke, soot, water, mould, odour and other contamination.
- Learning and using specialist cleaning methods, products, equipment and machinery.
- Carefully cleaning detailed and delicate items.
- Inspecting your work and making sure it meets the required standard.
- Recognising when an item needs further treatment or specialist assessment.
- Photographing, labelling and documenting customers’ belongings.
- Using tablet-based systems to maintain accurate records and traceability.
- Drying, protecting, wrapping and packing cleaned items ready for storage or return.
- Organising and maintaining storage locations.
- Loading and unloading items when required.
- Working alongside colleagues to keep the department running efficiently.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work. Once trained, you’ll have the opportunity to work independently, plan your next steps and use your initiative to keep things moving and support the wider team.
What makes someone successful in this role?
You might have experience in cleaning, housekeeping, detailing, packing, manufacturing, quality control, restoration or another practical role where accuracy matters.
But you don't need to come from any particular industry.

We can teach specialist cleaning techniques. We can teach restoration processes. We can teach you about different materials and equipment.
What we can't teach as easily is care, reliability and pride in doing a job properly.

Training & development
You don’t need previous fire and flood restoration experience to join us. We’ll give you the training and support to develop specialist skills and build your knowledge including:
- Specialist cleaning techniques
- Safe use of cleaning products and equipment
- Contents handling
- Quality standards
- Documentation and traceability
- COSHH and relevant health & safety procedures
As you grow in the role, you’ll have opportunities to:
· Develop specialist knowledge in contents cleaning and restoration.
· Build your skills across different materials, items and restoration techniques.
· Take on greater responsibility as your experience develops.
· Progress into senior or team leadership roles.
· Explore opportunities in other areas of fire and flood restoration.
· Continue learning and developing as Restoraction grows.

Hours
- £13.45 per hour
- 30 guaranteed hours per week
- Permanent, part-time position
- Flexible daytime start and finish times by agreement
- Optional overtime when available
