Are you passionate about basketball and committed to helping young players reach their potential?
Somerset State Basketball is looking to expand our All-Stars Coaching Team ahead of the new season. Our representative teams compete in the Western England Basketball Association (WEBBA) League, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and knowledgeable coaches to support our players both in training and on game days.
About the Role
As an All-Stars Coach, you’ll take ownership of one or more representative teams, coaching players during their weekly training sessions before leading them at league games and tournaments throughout the season.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Coach your allocated All-Stars team during our Wednesday evening training sessions.
- Lead your team at WEBBA League fixtures, tournaments and other basketball events, primarily at weekends.
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions.
- Support players’ technical, tactical and personal development.
- Build positive relationships with players, parents and fellow coaches.
- Represent Somerset State Basketball in a professional manner both on and off the court.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience coaching basketball (club, school or community level).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A positive, enthusiastic and player-focused approach.
- Ability to work well within a coaching team.
- Availability on Wednesday evenings and weekends throughout the basketball season.
- Basketball coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
