At Lancashire Sports Repairs Ltd, we specialise in the repair and restoration of outdoor clothing and equipment. Working with some of the world’s leading outdoor brands including Berghaus, Patagonia, Paramo and Mammut, we help extend the life of products, reduce waste and support the growing movement towards sustainability.
Every year we also help thousands of outdoor enthusiasts repair and restore their favourite jackets, waterproofs, rucksacks and technical equipment, giving products a second life instead of sending them to landfill.
We are looking for enthusiastic new team members to join our growing team of Sewing Repair Technicians. Full training in outdoor clothing and equipment repair is provided, overseen by a dedicated and experienced mentor, allowing you to develop specialist skills within a rewarding industry.
What You'll Learn
As part of our structured training programme, you will develop a wide range of practical skills, including:
- Technical garment construction
- Measuring and cutting
- Zip replacements
- Patch repairs and waterproof garment repairs
- Use of different industrial machinery including flatbeds and overlockers
- Heat press equipment
- Quality control and finishing techniques
By the end of your training, you will have developed the skills to carry out specialist repairs from start to finish and have an in depth knowledge of technical clothing construction.

Working Hours
Monday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Tuesday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Overtime
Once technicians have successfully completed the first two stages of training, overtime opportunities are often available, particularly during the busy winter season.
Who We're Looking For
Applicants should have some previous sewing experience, whether gained through education, previous employment, hobbies, fashion or textiles courses, or personal projects. Previous repair experience is not required.
We are particularly interested in people who are:
