At Merry Maids of York, we believe that a clean home can make a real difference to people's lives. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Professional Domestic Cleaner to join our friendly team.
This is an employed position, not self-employed, offering the security and support of working for one of the UK's best-known professional home cleaning companies.

About the Role
- Part-time position working 3 to 5 days per week
- Working Monday to Friday only
- No weekends
- No Bank Holiday working
- Daily start time of 8:30am
- Finish times vary depending on the day's schedule
- Cleaning private homes throughout the York area
- Working both independently and as part of a small professional team
What You'll Be Doing
You'll provide high-quality domestic cleaning services including:
- Dusting and polishing
- Vacuuming and mopping
- Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
- Changing bed linen (where required)
- General household cleaning to our professional standards
Every home is different, so no two days are exactly the same.

- Is willing to learn and follow established cleaning procedures
Previous cleaning experience is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.
We are happy to hear from both drivers and non-drivers. Reliability, commitment and a positive attitude are far more important to us than previous experience.
