Radish Restaurant and The Cakery offer our customers delicious, seasonal food that is simple, varied and inventive - so our chefs have the opportunity to be creative. The restaurant is open from 9 am to 5 pm everyday except on Sunday when we close at 4pm. We also have evenings ranging from 2-4 a month, but these are also shared between everyone, so not expected to work all.
We do not open on Christmas Day/Boxing Day/New Years Day or Easter Sunday,
Our busy, kitchen team need more help so we are looking for a capable and enthusiastic chef to join them. You will need to have experience of cooking in a commercial kitchen and understand the importance of excellent customer service and high standards of preparation/presentation/hygiene.
You will also need to:
- Help to plan seasonal menus/specials and associated costings
- Be mindful of reducing food wastage
- Be a team player whilst also being able to work on your own initiative
- Manage your time to ensure that meals are prepared to a high standard during a busy, highly pressured service
- Ensure that you adhere to all statutory food and hygiene requirements at all times
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate costs and place orders
- Complete necessary paperwork to ensure business compliance
- Communicate effectively with the team to facilitate smooth and safe operations

We need A Chef to work 4 days a week. This is, on the most part, a day time role - although we do have occasional evening events. Applications cannot be accepted from candidates who cannot offer regular weekend availability.
