Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service by ensuring timely and accurate food delivery, supporting the serving staff, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared dishes from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
- Support serving staff by assisting with table setup, clearing, and resetting tables as needed.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during delivery and service.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when required, including basic meal assembly or garnishing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including side stations and dining spaces.
- Provide excellent guest services by answering questions politely and offering assistance when necessary.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of food preparation, culinary practices, or kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Experience as a delivery driver or in roles involving delivery logistics is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with good phone etiquette and guest interaction abilities.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards within a hospitality environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
