Power Transmission & Distribution | Craig Murrail GIS Substation | Lochgilphead
Are you an experienced Site Supervisor looking to play a key role on a major substation project supporting the future of Scotland's electricity network?
Balfour Beatty's Power Transmission & Distribution business is seeking a Site Supervisor to join the team delivering the Craig Murrail GIS Substation project in Lochgilphead. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a significant piece of energy infrastructure that will help strengthen network resilience and support future electricity demand across the region.
You'll work closely with Site Managers, Engineers and the wider project team to ensure construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, while leading frontline teams and subcontractors on site.
What you'll be doing
- Supervising site operatives and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery of the works.
- Supporting the delivery of construction activities in line with programme requirements.
- Leading daily briefings, toolbox talks and workforce communications.
- Promoting and championing Balfour Beatty's Zero Harm culture.
- Reviewing and implementing safe systems of work, RAMS and work packs.
- Monitoring progress and escalating risks, issues and delays where required.
- Ensuring personnel have the correct competencies, authorisations and PPE.
- Coordinating plant, materials and labour resources to support project delivery.
- Maintaining accurate site records, documentation and timesheets.
- Supporting quality, environmental and compliance activities across the project.
- Building positive relationships with project teams, subcontractors, clients and stakeholders.
Who we're looking for
- Experience supervising construction activities on Power Transmission & Distribution projects.
- Previous experience delivering Overhead Line, Cabling or Substation schemes up to 400kV.
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work and construction site safety.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop teams to achieve project objectives.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- CSCS Card
- SSSTS (or equivalent)
