Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Technical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and refining complex technical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical designs and schematics for engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Utilise CAD software such as SolidWorks and GD&T principles to create accurate 3D models and drawings.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within existing systems and implement effective solutions.
- Design and simulate control systems using MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW to optimise system performance.
- Programme and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes.
- Perform system design tasks incorporating mechanical knowledge, schematic development, and system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Analyse schematics and technical documentation to support project development and troubleshooting activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in system design, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and engineering practices.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CAD software, and schematic development.
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and programming PLCs for automation control.
- Knowledge of GD&T standards for precise manufacturing specifications.
- Strong root cause analysis skills to diagnose complex technical issues effectively.
- Familiarity with schematic reading, system integration, and control system design.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to system development and troubleshooting tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Pay: £34,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
