Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pub/Restaurant Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering memorable customer experiences. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant or pub operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service
- Lead, motivate, and manage staff including serving personnel, kitchen team, and baristas to maintain excellent team performance
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and quality control
- Manage food production, ensuring timely delivery of dishes while maintaining presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating culinary experience to enhance offerings
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly food safety protocols
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction
- Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers for efficient inventory management
- Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance reviews to foster a motivated team environment
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and kitchen operations; hotel or barista experience is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on staff development and customer service excellence
- Good understanding of food production processes and hospitality industry best practices
- Relevant qualifications in food safety or hospitality management are desirable

Pay: £24,420.00-£39,922.26 per year
