Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking and baking of various food items according to established recipes and standards ( Breads, Cakes etc,)
- Support food production activities, ensuring efficiency and quality control throughout the process
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Assist with baking tasks as required, ensuring products meet quality standards
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy periods by performing additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation or cooking is highly desirable
- Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and food safety standards
- Experience in baking or culinary arts is advantageous
- Familiarity with restaurant or kitchen environments, including handling food safely and efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork capabilities
