Operations Planner

RightScapes is a growing landscaping construction company. We’re looking for an Operations Planner to help keep our projects and day-to-day operations organised, while also supporting the sales and financial side of the business.
This is a varied role working closely with sales, site teams, suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
Construction or landscaping experience would be a major advantage. We’re looking for someone who understands how jobs work in practice and can help keep everything moving from the initial enquiry through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Planning
- Plan and coordinate upcoming projects and workloads
- Organise operatives, materials, plant and subcontractors
- Track project progress, timescales and completion dates
- Arrange materials and deliveries
- Liaise with landscaping teams, suppliers and subcontractors
- Keep project information and schedules up to date
- Identify problems early and help find solutions
- Help improve the way we plan and run jobs
Sales & Client Support
- Assist with preparing quotes and variations
- Follow up enquiries and outstanding quotes
- Help keep our CRM and sales pipeline up to date
- Liaise with clients throughout the quoting and project process
- Help ensure projects are handed over smoothly from sales to the site team
Finance & Commercial
- Track project costs, materials, labour and subcontractors
- Monitor jobs against budgets
- Raise and track invoices
- Keep on top of outstanding payments
- Assist with basic financial administration and reconciliations
- Liaise with our external accountants
- Make sure costs and invoices are correctly allocated to projects
What We're Looking For
- Experience in construction, landscaping or a similar industry is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several jobs at once
- Good understanding of how construction projects are planned and delivered
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable dealing with tradespeople, suppliers, subcontractors and customers
- Confident using spreadsheets and computer systems
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working with costs, figures and financial information
- Proactive, practical and able to work independently
- Someone who takes ownership and gets things done
