Technical Skills Required
· Proficient in the use of CCH, Dext, M365 and other accounting tools such as SAGE, Xero and 123Software.
· Knowledge of double entry, VAT and UK tax laws.
· Good communication skills to deal with clients and be a team player.
· Able to prepare Self Assessments and VAT returns confidently and Ltd accounts to a certain level.
Experience
· Min 2 years’ experience in the same/similar role.
· Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice is preferred.
Qualification status
· Qualified by experience (QBE)
· Part of fully qualified AAT/ACCA
Main duties will include:
- Supporting with preparation of year end accounts for both limited companies, LLP’s, partnerships and sole traders.
- Preparing personal and corporation tax computations and returns.
- Assisting colleagues with ad hoc work for clients.
- Liaising with clients over their accounts and queries
- Manage and interact with your own portfolio of clients to ensure monthly bookkeeping is done to high standards.
- General daily bookkeeping tasks i.e., maintaining a detailed sales ledger, preparing supplier payment runs, bank/credit card reconciliation. Ensuring items are processed correctly into the client's books.
- Monthly/quarterly management reports preparation and preparing VAT returns.
- Responding and actioning emails in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supporting clients in their journey to making tax digital.
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
