Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elderly Carer to provide high-quality care and support to senior individuals in a care home or home care setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of residents, and fostering a warm, respectful environment. Responsibilities
- Assist elderly clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support residents with mobility and daily routines in accordance with individual care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Administer medication as directed and monitor health conditions
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary
- Maintain accurate records of care activities and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Support clients with light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring their safety during transport
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Skills
- Valid driving licence and experience driving elderly or vulnerable individuals preferred
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement personalised support strategies
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients and their families
- Compassionate attitude with patience, empathy, and respect for individual dignity
- Organised approach to managing daily tasks efficiently whilst prioritising safety

Pay: £35.00-£55.00 per hour
