Maintenance Electrician

Bespoke Career Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a well-established heavy manufacturing business based in Telford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Shift Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Electrical Technician looking for a secure, well-paid role within a busy industrial engineering environment.
You will be joining a skilled engineering team, supporting plant reliability, reducing downtime, and helping to maintain production efficiency across a fast-paced manufacturing site.

- The Role
- As an Electrician, you will report directly to the Works Engineer and work as part of a skilled maintenance team. This role is critical in ensuring plant uptime, diagnosing faults, completing planned maintenance, and supporting ongoing operational improvements.
- You will work across industrial electrical systems, low-voltage controls, three-phase circuits, motors, pumps, and drives. The role would suit someone with strong fault-finding ability and proven experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to maximise plant uptime
- Diagnose electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Complete TPM checks on schedule
- Overhaul, repair, and refurbish components and equipment within the workshop
- Complete parts requisitions to maintain stock levels and reduce downtime
- Assist with project work, including new equipment installations and factory improvements
- Support and mentor apprentices by sharing knowledge and practical skills
- Communicate effectively across shift teams to ensure smooth handovers
- Participate in internal and external training to improve skills and performance
- Provide flexibility to work outside normal shifts when required for cover
- Requirements
- To be considered for this Electrician role, you will need:
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification, such as Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or City & Guilds Level 3
- Proven experience in an industrial electrical maintenance role
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently when required
- Experience working with low-voltage control systems
- Experience working with three-phase circuits
- Familiarity with motors, pumps, and drives
- Desirable Experience
- The following would be beneficial but is not essential:
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial production environment
- Forklift Truck licence
- IPAF licence
