We are recruiting for a team of volunteers to help with our Summer programme this year;
Enjoy a Victory summer this year. Come face to face with the treasures that tell the story of the most iconic leader In British History, Horatio Nelson.
Between 4th July and 30th September visitors will get the chance to see Vice-Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson's personal collection of silver table settings bequeathed to him by a grateful nation, and the opportunity to witness and have a go at the incredible 18th Century heritage craft skills it takes to build a Naval flagship like HMS Victory.
This programme will include three elements:
- Nelson's silver table setting in HMS Victory's Great Cabin every Wednesday during the summer holidays.
- A week of heritage skills demonstrations and have a go activity led by the team of experts preserving HMS Victory.
Nelson's silver will be on display every Wed from the 22nd July -26th August.
Victory Summer Heritage Skills week will be from the 27th July -31st July.
We are looking for volunteer Explainers and Demonstrators to join our staffing teams to help make this a fabulous Victory summer.
We know that valuable skills, knowledge and experience can come from many different experiences, not just paid work. Whether through volunteering, community involvement, education, hobbies or other activities, we'd love to hear about the experience you can bring. You are also welcome to tell us about any volunteering-related training or volunteer networks and organisations you are involved with.
