Canaan London is a discreet private culinary placement office representing independent chefs and placing them across luxury short-stay residences, private family estates, and high-end dining assignments in Central London (Mayfair, Kensington, Belgravia).
Position Overview:
We are expanding our approved contractor roster for flexible private chef assignments, weekly meal prep shifts, and private client dining. All bookings operate on protected household briefs with client-funded ingredient budgets and guaranteed 24–48 hour contractor payouts upon shift completion.
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay range: £28.00 to £37.00 per hour (based on assignment complexity) + Travel Allowance.
- Guaranteed 24–48 hour payouts after shift sign-off (all client funds are cleared upfront).
- Calendar Control: Total flexibility to accept or decline bookings around your schedule.
- Postcode Priority: First refusal on bookings in your preferred London zones.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in fine dining, Rosette/Michelin kitchens, or private UHNW households.
- Professional Equipment: Candidates must own and maintain their own professional knife kit, uniform, and core tools.
- Food Safety: Must hold an in-date Level 2 or Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate.
- Compliance: Valid UK Right to Work and self-employed status (Public Liability Insurance & DBS preferred).
- UHNW Standards: Absolute commitment to discretion, client non-disclosure, immaculate hygiene, and high-end station resets.
Operational Structure:
Canaan London operates strictly as a placement office. All ingredient and grocery procurement costs are arranged directly with the client/household float.
