Press Brake Operator / Setter

Job Purpose
ADCAM Fabrications is looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator / Setter to join our production team in Lichfield.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating Amada Press Brakes, producing components accurately and efficiently to engineering drawings and required quality standards.
Please note: Due to the nature of the work undertaken for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and associated security requirements, applicants must be British citizens and be able to satisfy any required security screening or clearance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate Amada Press Brake machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Select and set the correct tooling for each job.
- Carry out bending and forming operations to required specifications and tolerances.
- Check completed components using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Make adjustments to machine settings where required to maintain quality.
- Ensure components meet drawing and customer requirements.
- Work efficiently to production schedules and priorities.
- Identify and report any quality or production issues.
- Carry out basic machine checks and maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Follow all company health & safety and security procedures.
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production targets are achieved.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience operating and setting Press Brake machines.
- Experience using Amada Press Brakes. Amada not essential but would be beneficial
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of measurements, tolerances and component specifications.
- Ability to work accurately and independently.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong awareness of health & safety within a manufacturing environment.
- British citizenship, due to MOD contractual/security requirements associated with the role.
Desirable:
- Experience within a sheet metal or fabrication environment. Essential
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and angle gauges.
- Experience working with a variety of materials and thicknesses. Essential

Working Hours
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday – 7:30am to 4:30pm
Friday 7.30-12.00
