Job Summary

In this vital role, you will provide personalized care to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting independence. As a team leader it will be your role to ensure standards of care are maintained through the care team. You will conduct initial assessments for new servce users and complete annual and 6 monhly reviews on existing service users. You will provide feeback on carer performace to the managers and mentor new carers during their induction period. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will help create a warm, respectful environment that fosters well-being and dignity for all clients. Duties
- Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure nutritional needs are met
- Help clients follow their tailored care plans, documenting progress and any changes
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when necessary
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues and family members regarding client needs and updates
- Use IT systems to record care activities accurately and efficiently
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- NVQ 3 or equivalent in health and social care
- Valid driving license is essential as you will be community based
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans ensures personalized support delivery
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Basic IT literacy is required for documentation and reporting purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
