We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join our team who will play a crucial role in providing strategic HR support. Working as part of a team you will work collaboratively with the Lead HR Business Partner, senior management and front-line managers across the organisation to support successful achievement of business objectives, coaching and developing managers to effectively undertake their people management responsibilities.
We are looking for an experienced HR Professional to join our team and work closely with senior leaders and managers to provide a customer focused HR service.
Working as part of a team you will work collaboratively with the Lead HR Business Partner, senior management and front-line managers across the organisation to support successful achievement of business objectives, coaching and developing managers to effectively undertake their people management responsibilities.
You will also be responsible for:

Providing professional HR advice and guidance to senior leaders and managers on employee relations matters ensuring alignment with Council policy, employment law and best practice.
- Having a key role in enabling and supporting change management projects supporting leaders and teams through periods of transformation.
- Contributing to and supporting the delivery of the Council’s Workforce Strategy
- Working with managers to ensure effective workforce planning to anticipate and respond to future requirements ensuring a workforce that is equipped to deliver excellent services.
- Provision of HR advice and support in respect of organisational and service redesign including alternative service delivery models.
- Contributing to key strategic projects and policy development.
- Working in partnership with trade unions and key stakeholders.
You will be CIPD qualified (level 7) or equivalent or CIPD (Level 5) qualified and enrolled on the Level 7 qualification within 6 months in post with an agreed completion date, together with relevant experience of working in a HR Service.
An experienced HR professional you will have a strong background of HR Business Partnering in a busy, multi-disciplinary organisation.
You will also require the following:

A proven track record in handling complex employee relations cases
- Experience of supporting and delivering strategic and organisational change projects and implementing policy
- Experience of working with senior management and trade unions
- A sound knowledge of employment law and its application
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form effective working relationships.
- Substantial experience of Microsoft Office and/or HR systems
Access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement of the role.
