POC Management Limited are recruiting for 3 Security Operative positions at one of our established client sites in the Brackmills area of Northampton (NN4).
We have three different opportunities available, offering different shift patterns to suit a range of applicants.

The 3 Positions Available
1. Security Operative – 6 On / 3 Off – Days
- 6 days on / 3 days off
- 12-hour day shifts
- Full-time and permanent
- Weekends included as part of the rotation
- Consistent rotating day-shift pattern
2. Security Operative – 3 Days / 3 Nights / 3 Off
- 3 day shifts
- 3 night shifts
- 3 days off
- 12-hour shifts
- Full-time and permanent
- Weekends included as part of the rotation
3. Relief Security Operative
- Full-time and permanent
- Flexible working pattern
- Covering annual leave, sickness, training and operational requirements
- Must be available to work days, nights and weekends
- Additional overtime opportunities

About the Role
This is a customer-facing security position within a busy site environment.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of security while providing a professional and helpful service to our client, staff and visitors.
The role involves a variety of security duties, including access control, CCTV monitoring, ANPR, vehicle and personnel searching, site patrols, lock and unlock procedures and the use of site-specific computer systems.
Previous security experience is preferred but is not essential, as full site-specific training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site access and egress through the Gatehouse.
- Check and verify staff and visitor identification.
- Sign staff and visitors in and out of the site.
- Conduct personnel searches in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct vehicle searches in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor client CCTV systems.
- Operate vehicle booking-in systems.
- Monitor and operate ANPR systems.
- Complete site lock and unlock procedures.
- Carry out regular site patrols.
- Assist with emergency procedures and site evacuations.
- Identify and report health and safety concerns.
- Use two-way radios and site communication systems.
- Use computers, email and site-specific security systems.
- Complete security documentation and records.
- Maintain a professional customer-facing service at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Work independently when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Current SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence – Essential
- 5-year checkable work history – Essential
- Previous security experience – preferred but not essential
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, reliable and approachable manner.
- Basic computer skills, including email.
- Ability to follow site procedures and security instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends depending on the position.
- Good attention to detail.
- A proactive and professional approach to security.
