We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Joiner to join our construction maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and structural components on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry, joinery, and construction trades to contribute to diverse projects, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, and electrical works. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely within a team environment.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber frameworks, fixtures, and fittings using hand tools and power tools
- Install joinery components such as doors, windows, staircases, and bespoke woodwork
- Assist with roofing tasks including framing and sheathing
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely to ensure efficient workflow
- Carry out construction painting and finishing tasks as required
- Support plumbing, masonry, and electrical teams with relevant joinery or carpentry tasks
- Use hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, drills, and screwdrivers to complete assigned tasks
- Follow technical drawings and specifications accurately during installation processes
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite adhering to health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery within the construction industry
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools for various building applications
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems or electrical installations is advantageous
- Experience working on-site in residential or commercial projects preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during construction activities
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices relevant to construction sites
