Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dessert Parlour Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our dessert parlour, assisting with food production, preparation, and presentation. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, and other sweet treats
- Support the team with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and work areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Follow recipes accurately and contribute to the creation of new dessert offerings
- Ensure all ingredients are stored correctly and stock levels are monitored regularly
- Assist with serving customers in the parlour, providing friendly and efficient service
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times during food handling and preparation processes
- Support the team during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the parlour
Qualifications
- Experience or interest in food production, preparation, or baking is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery environment is advantageous but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm for creating visually appealing desserts and delivering excellent customer service
