Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Floor Layer to deliver flooring solutions across commercial and public sector environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Floor Layer to join a growing team working across a variety of projects, carrying out installation, repairs and maintenance of flooring systems to a high standard.
The Role:
As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial flooring solutions across customer sites.
Typical duties will include:
- Installation of commercial flooring including vinyl, carpet tiles, safety flooring and LVT
- Preparing floor surfaces including cleaning, levelling and subfloor preparation
- Measuring and cutting flooring materials accurately
- Carrying out flooring repairs and remedial works
- Ensuring all installations meet quality and safety standards
- Working from drawings, specifications and job instructions
- Liaising with site teams, contractors and customers when required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Completing works within agreed timescales
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Floor Layer / Flooring Installer
- Strong experience within commercial flooring environments
- Knowledge of preparation techniques, adhesives and installation methods
- Experience installing vinyl, carpet tiles, LVT or similar flooring systems
- Good attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous
