Salary:
- Residential Childcare Worker: £15.38 per hour
- Sleep-in rate: £60 per night (if applicable)
Job Types: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Shift Pattern
The need of the service is 24/7 - 365 days a year including bank holidays.
Shift pattern currently consist of long days, wake nights, please note shift patterns are subject to change to meet the needs of the young people and business.

The home is going through the registration process with Ofsted and are looking for like minded individuals to create a beautiful team that can help vulnerable children feel safe and cared for.
The Role
As a Residential Childcare Worker, you’ll play a vital role in the lives of children who have experienced trauma, loss, and instability. You’ll provide consistent, therapeutic care, helping them feel secure and empowered to move forward in their development.
Our practice is rooted in the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy), ensuring that care is emotionally attuned, trauma-informed, and always centred around the individual child.
Key Responsibilities
- Build warm, trusting relationships with young people
- Provide consistent, therapeutic support based on individual care plans
- Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
- Support development of independence and life skills
- Encourage educational engagement and achievement
- Keep clear, accurate and professional records in line with Ofsted standards
- Work collaboratively with your team and external professionals
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is preferrable (or willingness to complete this)
- Experience working in residential childcare or a strong passion for the role
- A nurturing, emotionally resilient, and consistent approach
- Good understanding of safeguarding (training provided)

Shift Patterns
Full-time:
- 40 hours per week
- Working hours will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the home over a 24 hour period.
