About the Role
ScotForce Healthcare are looking for reliable and flexible people to join our core team as Care Assistants and Support Workers.
Our Care Assistants support older adults in care and nursing homes, while our Support Workers help adults with disabilities or other support needs to live independently in shared tenancies or their own homes. Many of our team work across both roles - but being confident in one area is enough.
We’re not about the odd shift here and there. We’re about building lasting relationships with our staff and clients. That’s why we offer regular, ongoing work across care homes and supported living services.
To be successful, applicants should be looking for a minimum of 2 shifts per week, be able to offer at least 4 days of availability each week, and be willing to travel throughout their local area.
Whether you want part-time or full-time hours, we have opportunities to match - and in the areas we’re recruiting for, demand is high.
Why Join ScotForce Healthcare?
- Regular Work – Staff who provide wide weekly availability benefit from consistent hours. With strong demand across the areas we’re recruiting for, we can offer anything from 2 to 6 shifts per week depending on your availability.
- Flexibility with Structure – You choose your availability, but it should include a reasonable mix of shifts and enough days each week to secure regular work.
- Great Pay & Benefits – Earn up to £15.97 per hour (including holiday pay), plus bank holiday enhancements, free uniform, quarterly and referral bonuses up to £500.
- Training & Development – Accredited in-house trainers, external providers, and online modules to support your professional growth.
- 24/7 Support Team – Always on hand to help you manage your work and get the most out of it.
- Career Opportunities – Access to progression pathways with our client partners.
- Recognition & Rewards – Be valued for more than just the hours you work. From quarterly awards to referral bonuses, we celebrate the people who make ScotForce what it is.
- Other benefits – eligibility for the Blue Light Card, Concert for Carers and Discounts for Carers.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who want regular, ongoing work - not just the occasional shift. Our staff choose us as their primary workplace and thrive because of it.
The staff who succeed with us share these qualities:
- Reliable & Committed – You turn up when you say you will, honour your commitments, and take pride in being someone clients and colleagues can depend on.
- Available – You understand that regular work depends on offering sufficient availability. Our staff typically work between 3 and 6 shifts per week, depending on their needs and preferences - giving you the option of consistent part-time or full-time work.
- Wants security and continuity – You value consistency and want to become part of a regular workforce rather than simply picking up ad-hoc shifts.
- Flexible & Adaptable – You value the balance this role offers: real flexibility and freedom in choosing when and how much you work, paired with a willingness to adapt to client needs. Flexibility works both ways - and those who embrace that balance thrive with ScotForce.
- Communicative – You keep us informed, respond promptly, and give clear feedback on the services you work in.
- Positive & Professional – You bring a great attitude, take pride in your work, and are valued by clients and colleagues alike.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months’ recent, paid experience in the UK as a Care Assistant or Support Worker is essential.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred. Applicants who rely on public transport must be able to demonstrate that they can travel reliably to secure consistent work opportunities.
- Willingness to Travel – While we always aim to secure opportunities as close to home as possible, regular and consistent work often depends on some flexibility. Successful members of our team are typically willing to travel up to 25 miles or more when required, allowing them to access a greater range of opportunities and maintain more consistent hours.
- PVG Scheme membership and SSSC registration (or willingness to obtain).
- A caring, professional approach and genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults.
- We cannot offer visa sponsorship – you must already have the right to work in the UK.
