Job Summary
Do you love bringing a smile to people's day? We're looking for a warm, creative and reliable Bank Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team at Glenkindie Lodge, a welcoming 33-bed residential care home.
This is a bank role to provide flexible cover for our activities programme. There are no fixed hours, we're looking for flexible people who are available to provide cover as and when required. It's a great fit if you want to earn around other commitments.
You'll help keep our established activities programme running smoothly, so residents always enjoy their fun, familiar routine.
What you'll be doing
- Continuing our established activities programme, from arts and crafts, music and games to reminiscence, gentle exercise, pampering and celebrating special occasions.
- Spending quality one-to-one time with residents, including those living with dementia or who prefer to stay in their room.
- Following existing activity plans and keeping records up to date.
- Making sure every resident feels valued, engaged and part of the day.
What we're looking for:
- A kind, patient and enthusiastic personality with a genuine interest in older people's wellbeing.
- Creativity and a bit of get-up-and-go to plan activities people actually enjoy.
- Flexibility is essential because this is a cover role, we need people who can step in at short notice and are happy with varying hours, including some weekends.
- Reliability and a can-do attitude when we call on you.
- Experience in a care or activities setting is welcome but not essential. the right attitude matters most.
