We are delighted to be partnering with a prestigious, highly regarded nursery located on the scenic outskirts of Bristol to find a passionate and skilled Level 3 Early Years Practitioner.
Catering specifically to children aged 2 to 4 years, this idyllic setting is housed in a beautifully converted barn nestled within 28 acres of stunning countryside grounds. What You Will Do:
- Deliver Premium EYFS Care: Lead and deliver high-quality care and education tailored specifically for the 2–4 age bracket, fostering independence and confidence.
- Embrace the Great Outdoors: Actively lead daily outdoor learning experiences across 28 acres of private grounds, including structured "welly walks", wildlife pond exploration, and nursery garden activities.
- Collaborate with Specialist Teachers: Work alongside the setting's on-site specialist staff to support incredible enrichment activities, including swimming lessons in their heated indoor pool, as well as French, music, and drama.
- Track & Share Progress: Observe and document children's developmental milestones under the EYFS framework, maintaining the setting’s high standards of communication with parents.
- Maintain Safety & Welfare: Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, complying fully with modern EYFS regulations, safer eating guidelines, and personal care protocols.
What the Setting is Looking For:
- DfE Compliance: A Level 3 qualification approved on the DfE Early Years Qualifications List, OR verified eligibility via the DfE’s Experience-Based Route (EBR) to count within Level 3 staff-to-child ratios.
- Core Essentials: A valid Paediatric First Aid (PFA - although this can be completed in-house) certificate and a suitable Level 2 English qualification.
- An Outdoor Ethos: A genuine passion for outdoor learning, physical development, and exploratory play.
- Age-Specific Expertise: Experience tailoring the EYFS curriculum for toddlers and pre-schoolers (ages 2–4).
- A Collaborative Spirit: A warm, proactive, and professional approach to working within a tight-knit team and alongside specialist educators.
