Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence in hospitality.
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
This role is open to an existing Sous Chef looking to enhance their career and also we would look at an experienced Chef De Partie too.
Responsibilities
- The Sous Chef Role will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff
- Supervise and train kitchen team members in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the menu
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, including seasonal offerings and specials
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
- Provide exceptional service to guests by ensuring the timely delivery of meals
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and food safety regulations
- Excellent cooking skills with attention to detail in food presentation
- Previous kitchen experience is essential, along with a passion for culinary arts
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong leadership skills with effective communication abilities
- A background in hospitality is advantageous, demonstrating an understanding of guest satisfaction
- Background in Bakery would be desirable
