We are seeking
Dowds Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our Facilities Management team, supporting contracts across Northern Ireland.
This is a hands-on mobile role, delivering reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and small works across a range of client environments. You will play an important part in keeping client sites safe, compliant and fully operational.

You will act as a professional representative of Dowds on client sites, building strong working relationships through clear communication, responsive service delivery and a commitment to high standards.
What you’ll be responsible for

Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple client sites

Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standard

Complete electrical inspections, testing and certification where required
-
Carry out daily, weekly, monthly and periodic checks, including remedial works
-
Support general building maintenance and multi-skilled activities where required
-
Read and interpret drawings, specifications and technical information
-
Maintain strong working relationships with client site teams, customers and contractors

Log, update and close PPM and reactive jobs on computer-based systems
-
Complete electronic documentation and maintenance records accurately

Meet service delivery, quality and KPI requirements

Maintain stock levels, tools and company vehicle in a safe, tidy condition

Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota as required

Follow company and client health and safety procedures at all times

Work safely under Permit-to-Work, Safe Systems of Work and risk assessment requirements

Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture on every site
What we are looking for
Essential
-
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
-
City & Guilds 2360, 2330 or equivalent electrical qualification
-
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
-
Full UK Driving Licence
-
Valid CSCS / CSR Card
-
Ability to obtain CTC security clearances required by client contract if not already obtained

Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical maintenance within Facilities Management, commercial, industrial, healthcare, retail, education or public sector environments

Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance works
-
Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical systems

Experience working across a variety of premises and customer sites

Knowledge of CAFM systems and electronic job management systems
-
Competent in using smartphones, tablets and maintenance management software
