We are currently recruiting for an experienced Wet Painter.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Selection of correct mixing parameters on ProMix system.
- Selection of correct oven temperatures and dwell times.
- Setting up spray equipment.
- Correct preparation of parts before painting, including identifying hard to reach areas.
- Understanding Paint properties.
- Understanding coating defects, their causes and how to rectify.
- Carrying out quality checks on coating finish, including DFT & Gloss readings.
- Carrying out stock checks of paints and recording on system.
- Recording details of painted parts and results of quality checks.
- Maintaining equipment, ensuring all equipment is cleaned after use.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested commensurate with your skills, knowledge and ability in the interests of the Company.
About you
- Skilled painter with Promix component mixing experience.
- Good knowledge of paint process.
- Reliable with good time keeping and attendance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£18.15 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Prestwick, South Ayrshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Wet Painting: 1 year (required)
