The Head of Enhancement and Assurance provides strategic and operational leadership for the College’s quality assurance, enhancement and teaching development functions, playing a critical role in delivering the Kelvin Strategic Plan 2025–2030 and the Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy.
The postholder will lead the development and implementation of a coherent, institution-wide approach to quality and continuous enhancement, ensuring high standards, strong learner outcomes and a culture of reflective, evidence-informed practice. They will ensure alignment with the Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework (TQEF), national priorities and regulatory requirements, while positioning the College as a sector leader in quality and innovation.

Professional Experience:

Significant experience in a quality assurance or enhancement leadership role, ideally in further or tertiary education.

Proven track record of leading teaching development and quality enhancement initiatives.

Experience of developing innovative programmes of education and training.

Experience of working with external quality bodies, including QAA, awarding bodies, or SFC.

Experience in preparing evaluative reports, managing inspection or review processes, and responding to national quality expectations.

Evidence of successful budget management and resource planning.

Demonstrated ability to support the development and implementation of institutional strategies.
