Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicating effectively with kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or dietary requirements
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Clear tables efficiently, ensuring the dining area remains tidy and inviting
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients and food safety standards
- Assist in setting up the dining area before service and cleaning after closing shifts
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols and hygiene standards
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving techniques, guest services, and upselling strategies will be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills, including time management, are essential to handle busy periods effectively
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
