We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our small, friendly team. Dundas Castle is an award winning hospitality venue and family home. Due to business demands, we need to increase the number of Housekeepers to work within our small friendly team.
We are recruiting now to train new team members ahead of a very busy season, when there will be plenty of shifts available. This is a great time to be part of this successful team. This role requires professional, well presented individuals who are reliable and hardworking.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within housekeeping, either on a private estate or within the hotel industry. The role includes all housekeeping and laundry duties within the Castle and self-catered lodge on the estate.
The role is on a casual basis which includes Saturday and Sunday shifts, but may lead to something more permanent.
DUE TO THE LOCATION OF DUNDAS CASTLE APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION, FULL UK DRIVERS LICENSE AND LIVE WITHIN EASY REACH OF DUNDAS CASTLE.

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in guest rooms, common areas, and facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Change bed linens, replenish towels, and restock toiletries as needed.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a tidy appearance.
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the premises.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Change bed linens and organise rooms to meet client specifications
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order and stored appropriately
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the supervisor
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment
- Adhere to organisational policies regarding confidentiality and security of premises
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and time management abilities
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately and use their own initiative
Pay: £12.71 per hour
