Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to join our professional dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting dental procedures, and maintaining a smooth-running clinical environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to utilise their nursing skills within a friendly and supportive team. The role involves working closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure patients receive exceptional treatment and care. Mixed NHS/Private practice.May be required to work on reception or in decontamination when needed
Pay is dependant on experience.
Duties
- Providing comprehensive patient care before, during, and after dental treatments
- Assisting dentists during various procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Ensuring the sterilisation and organisation of dental instruments and equipment
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and maintaining confidentiality
- Offering clear communication and reassurance to patients to ease anxiety and improve their experience
- Supporting infection control protocols in line with health and safety regulations
- Organising appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring the practice runs efficiently
- Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Qualified Dental Nurse
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Knowledge of IT systems used for managing patient records and appointments
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and team members
- Previous experience in nursing or healthcare is desirable but not mandatory for newly qualified candidates with relevant training
- Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
