About the Role:
We are looking for a Grave Digger / Excavator Operator to join our team. This role combines machinery operation, manual labour, and groundskeeping tasks. The day-to-day involves operating a mini 360 excavator as well as hands-on tasks like equipment setup, site preparation, and grounds maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excavator Operation: Safely operate a mini 360 excavator to dig graves and prepare sites with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Site Preparation: Perform physical tasks, such as moving walk boards, shoring, and other equipment needed for grave digging and site preparation
- Equipment Transport and Maintenance: Safely tow and transport equipment. Conduct regular maintenance to ensure tools and machinery remain in excellent condition.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure services are delivered respectfully and efficiently.
Key Skills Required:
- Excavator Expertise: Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery, particularly mini excavators.
- Driving and Towing Ability: Valid driver’s licence with experience towing trailers safely and efficiently.
- Physical Endurance: The ability to perform manual labour outdoors, often in challenging weather conditions.
- Professionalism: A respectful and sensitive approach to working in a cemetery environment.
