Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment, promoting development, and ensuring the well-being of residents. Responsibilities
- Assist children and young people with daily activities, including personal care and organisation of routines
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Support children in participating in educational, recreational, and social activities to promote development and independence
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues, families, and external professionals regarding residents’ progress and needs
- Drive children safely to appointments, activities, or outings as required
- Monitor and record behavioural patterns, progress, and any concerns in accordance with organisational policies
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety procedures and safeguarding protocols
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children, fostering trust and positive relationships
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people in a care or educational setting is desirable
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record is preferred for transporting children
- Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles
- Ability to develop and follow personalised care plans effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise confidently with colleagues, families, and external agencies
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Compassionate nature with strong organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly within a team environment

Pay: £31,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
