Summary
We are seeking a reliable HGV 1 Driver to join our team at Eggsell Ltd. Located in East Yorkshire, this role is essential for ensuring the timely delivery of our free-range eggs to customers. Joining our existing team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and maintaining our reputation for quality service.
Responsibilities
- Whilst adhering to strict biosecurity regulations and using pallet trolley and tail lift, you will be required to collect eggs from our farms and transport free-range eggs, to return to the packing centre.
- Ensure timely deliveries to our valued customers while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading of products as needed.
- Ability to effectively plan routes based on available time to maximise effectiveness
Requirements
- Valid clean HGV Class 1 licence
- Proven experience as an HGV class 1 driver preferred.
- Tramping is part of this role.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
- required to have a digital tachograph card and CPC driver qualification
