Job Summary
Happy Tail Hikes and Sits is seeking a dedicated House Sitter to join our professional team. We are looking for animal lovers who ideally currently work from home and are seeking a rewarding, flexible role that provides extra income on top of their existing professional commitments.
This role provides essential in home care for a diverse range of animals, including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and occasionally livestock. We pride ourselves on maintaining exceptional standards of welfare, requiring a sitter who is reliable, detail oriented, and committed to our clients' specific care requirements.
Role Requirements
Availability: Must maintain a consistent home based presence, with the ability to manage schedules to ensure animals are not left for extended periods (typically no more than four hours, depending on individual care plans).
Active Care: Ability to conduct regular, active dog walks as part of the daily routine.
Animal Enthusiasm: You enjoy caring for a wide variety of animals and are comfortable working with everything from household pets to livestock.
Routine Management: You will be responsible for following precise instructions regarding feeding schedules and the administration of medication.
Professionalism: Exceptional time management, reliability, and clear communication skills.
Experience: Previous animal care experience is desired, but not needed.
Self Employed Status: Candidates must be prepared to manage their own tax obligations and professional status as this is a self employed role.
Compensation Structure
We offer a competitive compensation structure that reflects the unique requirements of each assignment. While our base rate starts at £40 per night, most bookings include additional fees based on the number of pets and weekend scheduling, ensuring the total reflects the scope of care provided. We also offer an optional referral program for team members who choose to recommend our services to others.
