Overview
We are looking for a reliable and caring Housing Officer / Support Worker to join our team. You will support vulnerable adults living in our supported accommodation, helping them maintain their tenancy, access services, and work towards independent living.
Responsibilities
- Carry out regular tenant welfare checks and support sessions.
- Help tenants with benefits, appointments, housing matters, and accessing local services.
- Carry out property inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Support tenants to maintain their accommodation and follow the terms of their occupancy agreement.
- Liaise with councils, support workers, healthcare professionals, and other agencies where required.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns promptly.
- Encourage tenants to develop independent living skills and achieve their goals.
- Complete any required paperwork and reports.
Requirements
- Experience in supported accommodation, housing, social care, or a similar role is preferred.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload.
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
- Basic IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Pay: £1,200.00 per month
