AKA Innovations is a well-established electrical contractor working on residential and commercial projects throughout Aberdeen. As our workload continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Electrician to join us on a long-term, self-employed basis.
What's on offer:
- Hourly rate of £18–£25, depending on experience
- A guaranteed minimum of 39 hours per week, with weekend work available if wanted

Who we're looking for:
- Solid background in electrical installation work (domestic, commercial, or both)
- Able to manage your own workload without losing quality
- Dependable, well-organised, and easy to communicate with
- Ideally has own tools and transport
Day-to-day duties:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components
- Working from electrical drawings, layouts, and cable schedules
- Carrying out testing, inspection, and fault finding, including EIC and EICR
- Working in line with BS 7671 and all health & safety requirements
- Keeping paperwork and reports accurate and up to date
- Keeping site management updated on progress and any issues that arise
Requirements:
- ECS or CSCS card (preferred)
- Proven hands-on experience, including testing and inspection
- 18th Edition (City & Guilds BS 7671) – highly desirable
- Own hand tools
- Full UK driving licence – an advantage
