Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM

About the Role:
- Support the SENCO in leading high-quality SEN provision across a specialist secondary setting for pupils with SEMH, Autism (ASC), ADHD, and additional learning needs
- Help identify, assess, and monitor students with SEN, ensuring appropriate provision is in place to meet EHCP outcomes
- Coordinate interventions and targeted support to remove barriers to learning and improve student outcomes
- Work collaboratively with teachers, Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, safeguarding staff, families, and external agencies
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues to promote inclusive teaching, effective behaviour support, and best practice across the school
- Contribute to safeguarding processes, recognising the close relationship between SEN, wellbeing, and student welfare
- Support students in developing confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and readiness for adulthood
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the strategic development and day-to-day management of SEN provision
- Monitor student progress, review interventions, and evaluate their impact against EHCP outcomes
- Liaise with families, local authorities, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support for pupils
- Support annual reviews, assessments, and EHCP documentation
- Advise staff on strategies for supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and associated learning needs
- Promote positive behaviour support and inclusive practice throughout the school
- Maintain accurate SEN records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safeguarding procedures

Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience supporting students with SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs
- Good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes, and inclusive education
- Experience coordinating interventions and supporting staff to deliver effective SEN provision
- Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed approaches
- Safeguarding experience is highly desirable, particularly as a DSL, DDSL, or member of a safeguarding team
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills with a passion for improving outcomes for young people with SEND
