Duties
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process orders accurately.
- Prepare items for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling products according to specified procedures.
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods for quality and accuracy, and organize stock in designated areas.
- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and assist with stock replenishment.
- Perform routine mechanical checks on equipment like forklifts and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment while adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of materials handling and stock management.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one during training.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and quality control standards.
- Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of warehouse equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and safety protocols.
