The role
This role is funded by Access to Work and the purpose of it is to allow a disabled small business owner to thrive and perform her work to the best of her ability.
You will be supporting her in all aspects of her work, including:
- Record keeping
- Publicity
- Customer service
- Stakeholder liaison
- Assisting with planning and writing courses, lessons, texts, scripts
- Assisting in recording videos and audios
- Editing and uploading videos and audios
- Assistance in live stream sessions
- Managing 1:1 client/student meetings
- Assistance during live workshops
- Conferences 2-3x/year, travel and accommodation paid as well as extra hours
- Retreats 1-2x/year, travel and accommodation paid as well as extra hours
You must be UK-based and will invoice as a self-employed service provider. Funding has been awarded up until the end of May 2029.
Person specification
Essential
Excellent communication skills:
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Demonstrable listening skills
- Ability to skilfully challenge where necessary
- Compassionate communication
Ability to self-organise:
- Keep track of what needs doing and when
- Keep track of deadlines
- Take initiative and mention if there is something you think has been missed
Proficiency with technology/software use:
- You don’t have to be familiar with all types of technology but you’ll need to have the capacity to learn quickly
- Audio editing software, video editing software, social media and teaching platforms
Good ethical grounding:
- Clear on your own values
- Ability to be non-judgemental
- Familiarity with and commitment to inclusive practices and language
Preferred
- Interest in one or many of the following: meditation, Reiki, Tarot, NLP, nature-based spirituality, Ancestor work, psychology…
- An understanding of the wellness / spiritual / personal development and empowerment industry in general
- Some awareness of what it means to run and operate a small business, with all its joys and challenges
